Infertility affects approximately 12% to 15% of couple of reproductive age in Europe. Despite the rapid development of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), only 25-27% of embryo transfers result in successful pregnancy.  Understanding why the embryo fails to implant in the remaining 75% of cases into the mother uterus, is of primary importance to improve in the future the treatment of infertility.
